EASTOVER RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO VOTE IN INAUGURAL ELECTION
The new Town of Eastover will be holding its inaugural election on Tuesday, January 8 2008. The town was incorporated on July 26, 2007 and an Interim Town Council composed of members of the incorporation committee has provided governance for the Town, pending the first election.
Voting sites are Lebanon Baptist Church (3329 Beard Rd) and Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church (1830 Baywood Road). Voting sites are open 6:30am-7:30pm.
Recognizing the historical aspect of the first election, the Cumberland County Board of Elections staff will tabulate and post election results at the Eastover Community Building (4008 School Road) after the polls close. The public is invited to join candidates at the Community Building as results are received.
