Community Emergency Response Training Offered Dec. 8 Through 10
FAYETTEVILLE – North Carolina Emergency Management isoffering sessions of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training toCumberland County residents for free in December. Seats are limited and filledon a first-come, first-serve basis.
The 21 hours of training are held over three days. CERTBasic Training covers basic skills needed to respond to a community’s immediateneeds in the aftermath of a disaster, when emergency services are notimmediately available. Residents who complete the training can assist in savinglives and protecting property using basic techniques taught in the course.
The classes will be held at the Vander Fire Department, 3509Clinton Rd., Fayetteville. Class times are Dec. 8 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Dec.9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Register for thecourses online at https://terms.ncem.org/TRS/logon.do.
